Position Overview: We are seeking a Payroll/Accounting Specialist with a strong background in payroll administration and general accounting functions. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in payroll processing and a solid understanding of financial transactions, reporting, and reconciliation. The position is based in Rolling Meadows, IL, with a hybrid work schedule. Details: Title: Payroll/Accounting SpecialistLocation: Rolling Meadows, ILSalary: $65,000–$70,000Position Type: Direct HireWorksite Type: Hybrid (4 days onsite) Key Responsibilities: Payroll Functions:

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll cycles
• Calculate and withhold federal/state income taxes, Social Security, unemployment, and workers’ compensation
• Manage employee deductions and PTO transactions using ADP Workforce Now
• Handle garnishments and other payroll adjustments
• Maintain accurate records of vacation and other time-off data
• Prepare payroll reimbursement, check requests and journal entries
• Review and verify payroll reports for accuracy
• Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax filings
• Support special payroll-related projects assigned

Accounting Functions:

• Record and classify financial transactions in accordance with GAAP
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of payroll administration experience
• At least 2 years of experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software
• Experience with AP/AR and general accounting practices
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of professionalism and integrity
