As part of the talented Lowe Boats team as a Painter, you will prepare, mask, and spray surfaces of aluminum boats with primer and enamel topcoat. Essential Functions include applying masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated, selecting and mixing coating liquid to produce desired color, pouring coating liquid into spray container and connecting gun to air hose, turning sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray, pulling trigger and directing spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat, cleaning spraying equipment with solvent, and following the quality systems procedures. The role requires standing, bending and twisting for a 10-hour shift. Preferred qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and previous experience in painting, autobody or applicable training. Working conditions may include working in a non-air-conditioned area, working at heights on platforms, lifting parts and pieces up to 50 lbs, and exposure to noise, dust, fumes and odors daily. PPE required includes hearing protection, vision protection, safety toe shoes, safety gloves, and respirator.
