What Youll Do Were seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and coordination of HVAC and plumbing systems for a wide range of commercial, institutional, and residential projects. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys mentoring junior staff, and is passionate about delivering high-quality mechanical solutions. Support mechanical system design (HVAC, plumbing) from concept through construction documents Coordinate with architects, structural, electrical, and civil teams to ensure fully integrated designs Oversee and mentor junior mechanical designers and EITs Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and code compliance reviews Conduct QA/QC on plans, specs, and reports Support field coordination, construction administration, and client meetings as needed Requirements Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (EIT preferred) Typically, 1+ years of experience in mechanical system design for buildings Background in HVAC and plumbing system design Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; familiarity with energy modeling and load calculation software is a plus Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset What We Offer We are targeting a base salary of $65,000 to $80,000, but it is determined by several factors including education, experience, and a history of working in the Denver metro area. ~ Medical insurance, including an HSA option ~ Dental insurance ~ Vision insurance ~ Employer-paid life insurance ~ STD & LTD ~ A minimum of 15 days PTO, and higher for more experienced employees ~ Accident insurance ~401k match of 4% ~ One full day of paid VTO (Volunteer Time Off) annually ~ Roth 401K option ~ Annual company ski day and summer picnic ~ Flexible hours ~ In many cases, our roles can be worked in a hybrid capacity ~ Monthly employee celebrations (with free lunch!) ~ The opportunity to touch every aspect of a project, from beginning to end ~ Free snacks ~ Weekly volleyball league in the Summer and bowling in the Winter ~ Company-owned bar in the parking lot of the Denver office ~ Relaxed dress code ~ Entrepreneurial mindset If you have an idea, we want you to pursue it!
