Position Title: Low Voltage Technician 
Location: North Charleston, SC 
Duration: 6-Month Contract to Hire 
Compensation: $25-$32/Hour 

 

Overview:

We’re looking for a motivated and skilled  Low Voltage Sr. Helper to support electrical conduit installations across various commercial and industrial projects in the Charleston area. This role involves hands-on work with EMT conduit, wire pulling, and device termination, all under the guidance of a Team Lead. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in low voltage electrical work and a strong understanding of technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation of electrical conduit systems, including bending and placing EMT conduit.
• Pull low voltage and fiber optic cables across job sites.
• Terminate devices and ensure proper connections.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Support the completion of both new and backlog projects.
• Work outdoors in commercial or industrial environments.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in low voltage electrical work, specifically with EMT conduit.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Hands-on experience with wire pulling and device termination.
• Strong electrical background.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
• Familiarity with control systems.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
