About Us
Stellar Cooling Services is a locally owned and operated HVAC company serving Tampa and surrounding communities. We specialize in high-quality residential and commercial service, and we’re proud to support a long-term contract with the Hillsborough County School Board. We are currently hiring a Junior HVAC Technician to support our growing service team.
Position Summary
This is a great opportunity for a motivated entry-level or apprentice technician ready to grow in the HVAC trade. You’ll assist in performing diagnostics, maintenance, and minor repairs on school district HVAC systems while learning from experienced senior techs. Occasional support for residential service calls may also be required.
What You’ll Do
Assist with inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on RTUs, split systems, air handlers, and heat pumps
Support senior techs with service tasks and preventative maintenance
Help with residential maintenance or repairs as needed
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe on school and residential job sites
Help with documentation using a company-issued iPad
Communicate professionally with facility staff, homeowners, and team leads
Follow all safety policies and procedures on all job sites
Qualifications
1–2 years of HVAC field experience or recent completion of HVAC training
EPA Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
Basic hand tools and willingness to learn advanced skills
Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record
Must pass Level II background check for school access
Strong work ethic and eagerness to grow with a reputable company
Preferred But Not Required
Trade school certification or technical coursework in HVAC
Experience working on school, commercial, or residential job sites
Familiarity with field service software and documentation

Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday (8-hour shifts)
Some weekend or after-hours support may be required
Work takes place primarily at Hillsborough County School Board facilities, with occasional residential support
