Position Details: Industry: Banking Industry Job title: Hedge Fund Accountant Location: Jersey City, NJ 07310 Hybrid Duration: 3 Months + Possible Extension Shift hours: Mon - Fri: Std business hours Start date: ASAP Pay Range: $65/hr - $68/hr Responsibilities: - This position requires a highly motivated individual who will be responsible for assisting the team that supports the Alternative Investments platform.
Responsibilities: - Hedge Fund (feeders, fund of funds & Managed Accounts) Product Support
- Assist with fund launch process
- Assist in the oversight of Trade exceptions and FOP Transfers
- Update various calendars and trackers
- Hedge fund feeder and FoF trading calendars
- Maintain list of funds on platform with pertinent information
- Document management
- Maintain product information in a highly organized fashion - such as organization documents, daily, monthly and annual reports, and other product-related item
- Private Equity/Real Estate (PERE) Product Support
- Assist with fund (feeder and fund of funds) bank account opening
- LEI request
- GIIN request
- Coordinate completion and execution of W forms and Form 8832 or say 'Coordination completion and execution of Tax Forms' to cover both forms.
Requirements: - Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Mathematics or Finance
- 4-6 years of experience performing a similar function with a focus on investment funds (hedge, private equity, or mutual funds)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and work within tight deadlines
- Working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables and v-look ups required) and other Office applications
