Role Overview:

Sodexo is hiring a Food Operations Manager 2 at Sharp Coronado Hospital in Coronado, CA . This role will oversee patient dining, retail food services, and catering operations. Registered Dietitian (RD) candidates are strongly preferred.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the delivery of high-quality food services across patient dining, retail outlets, and catering operations
• Drive performance to meet or exceed Sodexo and client financial goals and operational targets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and customers, including confident communication in executive-level (C-suite) settings
• Develop and execute strategic plans that align with organizational goals and enhance service delivery
• Ensure full compliance with HACCP guidelines, regulatory requirements, and Sodexo standards
• Engage daily with patients, families, and clinical teams to support satisfaction and promote a positive dining experience
• Registered Dietitian (RD) candidates are strongly preferred , bringing added expertise to patient-centered food and nutrition services

What You Bring:

• Proven leadership skills with a strong track record of fostering employee engagement and collaboration across teams
• Culinary production experience with a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining clear, professional communication and delivering exceptional customer service
• A commitment to driving team success and enhancing the impact of the food and nutrition department
• Strong organizational skills with the flexibility to adapt and take on evolving responsibilities
• Registered Dietitian (RD) credentials are highly preferred , bringing added value to patient-centered food service operations

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
