Hiring Entry Level Marketing Associates

Overview: 

• Full time, entry level role
• We are looking for candidates looking to jump start their career, no prior experience is required. 
• Fully in person role: market our charity and raise funds at local events, like markets, malls, etc.

About us:

Our business is proud to partner with a highly-regarded charity that has been advocating for kids in the foster care system for over 50 years. Together, we strive to provide essential care and assistance to support kids in the foster care system as they grow up. We sell backpacks full of essentials that are donated to the kids we support, and sign donors up for donation subscriptions to our 24-7 emergency hotline, in order to raise funds to help make our mission and goals come to life on a daily basis.

In this role, you will be a valued member of our fundraising team, representing our organization at a variety of in person, high-visibility events, such as markets, restaurants, stores, and festivals, both indoors and outdoors . Your daily responsibilities will be to engage with guests, passionately share our cause, and inspire them to contribute to our cause. You will also learn how to market ourselves, and help brainstorm and execute new fundraising ideas. To excel in this position you must be extremely outgoing and not afraid to talk to strangers, as this is the main responsibility of this role.

Role responsibilities:

• Engage with individuals at various local, in person events to communicate our charity's mission and goals, and market ourselves to the public
• Set up displays and take down displays
• Participate in fundraising events both indoors and outdoors, and engage with potential donors to explain how their funds will make an impact
• Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of our charitable partners and provide accurate answers to potential donors' questions with the utmost professionalism
• Exhibit a self-motivated and competitive spirit to help raise as much money as possible
• Form strong relationships with donors
• Attend daily and weekly team meetings and actively contribute to group discussions
• Help spot new fundraising opportunities
• Attend mandatory training sessions to further enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required (18+)
• Must have own reliable transportation to and from events
• Must be able to work 30-40 hours
• Strong communication skills
• Genuine passion for helping people
• Interest or experience in sales and or fundraising 
• Willingness to engage with members of the general public
• Must possess a self motivating drive to hit individual and team donation goals 
• Must be comfortable working both indoors outdoors
• Must be comfortable standing for multiple hours at a time
