We are currently seeking a dynamic and innovative Senior Planner to join our manufacturing team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to our company's growth and success, by ensuring efficient production planning and cost optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing planning, with a proven track record of enhancing cost efficiency and analyzing complex data.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Planner, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.
- Conducting detailed cost analysis to identify areas of potential savings and implement cost reduction strategies.
- Collaborating with different departments like procurement, production, and logistics to ensure smooth operations.
- Leading the planning and scheduling process to ensure optimal utilization of resources.
- Analyzing production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
- Providing timely and accurate updates on production status and any potential delays or issues.
- Evaluating and maintaining documentation of production standards, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations.
- Forecasting production needs based on market trends and demand patterns.
- Continually reviewing and improving planning processes to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Assisting in the development of department budgets and capital expenditure plans.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a planning role within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in cost efficiency analysis and implementation of cost-saving measures.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficient in using planning software and tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, capabilities, and limitations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices would be an added advantage.
