Major Duties and Responsibilities The position will be the administrator of the Community Care Program. The Community Care Program is designed to provide medical services to the medically underserved and jail inmates in Muscogee County. The approved program providers will identify Muscogee County residents who meet the requirements of the program and are not covered by any other insurance. The program will include contracts with multiple medical providers to include primary care providers, hospitals, mental health providers, and others.
- Create and maintain department filing system.
- Compile, calculate, and maintain department payroll records.
- Oversee Third Party Administrator.
- Oversee contracts with medical providers.
- Develop utilization and status reports.
- Develop and review provider reports.
- Review the qualifications for identifying participants of the program.
- Manage Community Care Fund Budget.
- Review the Program for modifications.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Educational and Training Requirements A Bachelor's Degree in Public, Business,or Healthcare Administration or a related field is required. Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions and to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years of experience or service.
Physical Requirements The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table. The employee must occasionally lift light objects.

Retirement Plan The Columbus Consolidated Government offers a defined benefit retirement plan to eligible employees who work in General Government and in Public Safety. Employees in the pension plan must meet both age and years of service requirements to qualify for retirement. The current vesting period is ten years, and the current pension contribution rate is 8% of your gross salary.
