Job Description
Overview Department 6744 is responsible for the final integration, test, and deployment of USNDS Ground Systems products. The team supports the operational systems at a variety of deployed sites and provides high-quality support to our GSSEs (Ground Station Support Engineers) and end users. Our team partners with a variety of organizations both internal and external to customer fully characterize and assess the ground systems within both the acquisition and sustainment sides of the USNDS program.
Responsibilities - Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts.
- Develop block diagrams and logic flow charts.
- Translate detailed design into computer software.
- Test, debug, and refine the computer software to produce the required product.
- Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
- Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.
- Provide technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met.
- Experience in information system design, including application programming on large-scale database management systems and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science plus 8 years of experience
- 8 years of experience in software development using C++
- Experience with USNDS Universal Ground NDS Terminal Interface Control Document implementation
- Must be a US Citizenship
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOE Q clearance.
Required Skills: - Working knowledge of USNDS Ground Program.
- Proficiency in Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Python programming.
- Ability to obtain DOE Q Clearance

- Well-developed leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and execute in a disciplined and focused manner.
- Proven verbal and written communication skill.
