About the Role

We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our growing Construction group. The ideal applicant has 3+ years of experience with new ‘ground-up’ construction and interior renovation projects. This position is based out of our corporate office in Crystal Lake, IL. Our APMs work alongside the Director of Construction, Project Managers, Project Engineers and Superintendents to deliver our services to our customers.

Responsibilities :

• Overall project leadership and mentorship to project staff
• Clear, consistent communication with Customer, Architect, Subcontractors and staff
• Plan, develop and manage the project schedule throughout project lifecycle
• Contract negotiations and management
• Cost and project profitability management
• Model and enforce company safety program, OSHA operating standards and laws
• Manage the quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify and mitigate project risks
• Document control

Qualifications :

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management or Equivalent
• 3+ years experience managing ground up construction and renovation work
• Microsoft Project experience
• Procore experience
• Self-initiative, excellent work ethic, and a desire to learn and grow
